Sunday Scribblings

Even though it’s not Sunday anymore I thought I would still post this weeks prompt. This week’s prompt is Pilgrimage.

Since I am not religious and religion is what comes to mind when I think of pilgrimage I am going to talk about what places I have to go to. When I lived in CA and went to the mall I had to go to Mrs. Field’s. They had the best cookies and there was no way that I was going to the mall without having one of their cookies even brownies for that matter.

Bookstores. Any bookstore really. I don’t really care what bookstore I go to I just need to be in one to enjoy the books. There are a few places that I love to go to.

Changing of the guard

There will be some changes this year. Not just for me personally but all round. I have already trimmed a couple of my trees here in the yard, which don’t look so great at the moment but by the time spring rolls around and they really grow again things should look good. I’ve moved one of the my plants and still need to move the other two, but cutting back on the plants that are around where I put them has helped some. They also got watered today. My arms are going to be sore tomorrow not to mention the big cut I have on my hand from where one of the branches hit me in the hand.

Oh yeah I finished my first book of the year!!!!!!! I am hoping that this is a sign that I will be able to read close to 50 this year.

Happy New Year!!!!

Well it’s time to start a new year and welcome some changes. There are many to come for the US and that starts with our new President. I am actually looking foreword to all the pomp and ceremony that is involved with swearing in a new President. Even though there will be way to much garbage to clean up afterwards, among other things it will be a good thing.

There will be a few changes around here. I won’t get to post as often as I would like, mainly because I will be working more. I will also be posting books I am reading, possibly with a review of them. If I can figure it out I will also had links for them.

So on this first day of the new year what did you do? Myself, I went to the laundromat and washed/dried 2 loads of clothes. Why you ask, because last week when we had a hard freeze overnight my water line to the washer in the garage froze and doesn’t seem to be thawing out. The days weren’t warm enough long enough for it to thaw and the nights have been in the low 30’s so it’s, in my opinion, starting to thaw and then re-freezing. But going to the laundromat in winter is something I am used to.

Oh before I forget I am also posting everyday. What a minute? Didn’t I just say that I wasn’t going to post as often? Oh well I’ll figure something out, lol.

I am such a bookie. I love to read and thankfully so does my daughter. I have so many books right now that I won’t even get to most of them in the next year yet I continue to buy them.Right now I am really into L A Banks series (I have every one of this series so far and only the first of this one) and am waiting impatiently for the next one to come out.Finding books for Savie is easy.

As long as it’s cute, with a side of educational, she likes it. She doesn’t really have favorite character or type of books so at this point anything works. Since I have been working at the studio I have taken to finding books at the library to add to our collection and refresh what we have. I bought these thru Ebay and have the whole set now, we had parts of it at school. Last week we read this book and I loved it, today we read this one and I am so in love with it. You have to read it, the kids loved it and so will you.
